Everest Base Camp Trek
The Everest Base Camp (EBC) trek will provide you with a natural thrill as it takes you through breath-taking high-altitude landscapes, esoteric Buddhist monasteries, traditional Sherpa villages, high-altitude flora and fauna, and snow-capped mountains. Climbing Mount Everest Base Camp is a milestone in mountaineering.
The most spectacular high-altitude trek in the mountains of Nepal - prepare for jaw-dropping scenery and a unique cultural experience exploring the challenging trekking routes,hiking on the Khumbu glacier through small villages over many suspension bridges looking at Mt. Everest and the Khumbu Valley, following in the footsteps of Sir Edmund Hillary.
The Everest Base Camp trek passes through the land of the Sherpas to the foot of the world’s highest mountain, Sagarmatha, Nepalese for Mount Everest.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu.
Transfer to your hotel and rest.
Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing & Trek Preparation
Optional Explore UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu.
Trek briefing and gear check.
Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 3: Fly to Lukla & Trek to Phakding
Early morning flight to Lukla (2,860m).
Trek to Phakding (2,610m) along the Dudh Koshi River.
Overnight in Phakding.
Day 4: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar
Trek through pine forests and ascend to Namche Bazaar (3,440m).
Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
Day 5: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar
Explore Namche and hike to Everest View Hotel.
Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
Day 6: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche
Trek to Tengboche (3,870m) and visit the monastery.
Overnight in Tengboche.
Day 7: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche
Trek through forests to Dingboche (4,410m).
Overnight in Dingboche.
Day 8: Acclimatization Day in Dingboche
Short hike for acclimatization with stunning views.
Overnight in Dingboche.
Day 9: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche
Trek to Lobuche (4,940m), visiting climber memorials.
Overnight in Lobuche.
Day 10: Trek to Gorak Shep and Everest Base Camp
Hike to Gorak Shep (5,164m) and continue to Everest Base Camp (5,364m).
Return to Gorak Shep for the night.
Day 11: Hike to Kala Patthar & Trek to Pheriche
Early morning hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m) for sunrise views.
Descend to Pheriche (4,371m).
Overnight in Pheriche.
Day 12: Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar
Retrace steps to Namche Bazaar.
Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
Day 13: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla
Final trek back to Lukla and celebrate completion.
Overnight in Lukla.
Day 14: Fly from Lukla to Ramechhap; Drive to Kathmandu
Morning flight from Lukla to Ramechhap Airport.
Drive back to Kathmandu (approx. 4-5 hours).
Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 15: Free Day in Kathmandu
Relax, shop, or explore more of Kathmandu.
Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 16: Departure from Kathmandu
Transfer to the airport for your departure.
Note: Depending on flight availability and aviation decisions, we may need to fly in and out from Ramechhap Airport.

Accommodations during Trek

During trek, you will be accommodated in Teahouse. Normally Teahouse are basic lodge with private room. You may have to share with other people when there are limited spaces.
Meals
During your trek, you will be given a menu for you to order your meals from.
Any kind of drinks are not included in your price, but you can buy these directly from the Lodge and shops and cafes etc.
Physical Condition & Experience Requirements
Trekking to Everest Base Camp is moderate trek, which is good for those who have hiking experience and good physical fitness, but special Training isn’t needed. Please do tell us if you have any pre-existing medical condition such as heart, lung, and blood diseases before you come to Nepal!
Important Information
• Visas are purchased upon arrival from most countries.
• Upon entry, you will need to have:
o Passport, which must be valid for at least another 6 months and have at least two blank visa pages.
o Photocopies of personal information on passport.
o 2 extra passport-size photos (1.5 in X 1.5 in with a white background).
o Airline tickets showing departure date.
o Completed and signed Nepal visa application form, which could be completed online before you travel.
o Proof of accommodation (we will supply).
o Proof of having paid Nepal visa fee (which you pay for in cash upon arrival).
o Proof of travel insurance (see below).
• Travel health insurance – All travelers into Nepal must provide proof of travel health insurance that covers emergency search, rescue, treatment, and other expenses (Costs between £50-£150)
• Bring dollars, pounds or Euros in cash for purchasing Nepalese visa ($30 for 15 days, $50 for 30 days) at Kathmandu airport, for paying for restaurants and hotels, for gratuities, snacks, and to purchase your own drinks and gifts.
• Bring Credit cards, Bank/ATM/Cash machine cards for withdrawing funds from cash machines (have a photo of your cards).
COVID-19 and other Vaccination Requirements for Nepal
• COVID-19 – As of 5/31/22, there is no requirement of COVID-19 vaccines to enter Nepal, but this could change. But we are asking all travelers to be fully vaccinated, including recent boosters, on our trek.
• There are no other vaccine requirements for Nepal, except for Yellow Fever if you are travelling from a country with high YF virus transmission. But the US Centers for Disease Control recommends that you are up-to-date on routine vaccines. It also recommends to receive Hepatitis A & B and Typhoid. We will not be an any areas that have malaria risks.
