What to Expect

Dive into an unforgettable two-day adventure in the stunning Brecon Beacons, where you’ll learn to thrive in the wild under the expert guidance of a former Royal Marine. From fire-lighting and shelter-building to navigating rough terrain and tackling wild water, this is a weekend built to test your grit, spark your curiosity, and connect you with the outdoors.

Once equipped with your new survival know-how, you’ll take on a thrilling gorge walk through the legendary Seven Waterfalls — a jaw-dropping landscape of rushing rivers, mossy rocks, and natural slides. Expect to get soaked, laugh a lot, and leave buzzing with pride.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Survival Skills & Wild Camping

We kick off at 08:45 sharp, so arrive fuelled and ready. After a briefing, you’ll head straight into the heart of the Brecon Beacons to begin learning essential survival skills. Think fire-starting, shelter-building, water sourcing, and more — all under the watchful eye of a former Royal Marine.

As the day winds down, you’ll put your new skills to the test by building your own shelter and spending the night under the stars. After a full-on day, you’ll be rewarded with a hearty survival stew cooked over the fire.

Full immersion into survival techniques, nature connection, and resilience-building.

Day 2 – Ration Packs & Gorge Walking

Wake up in the wild and tuck into your military ration pack breakfast before breaking down camp. Then it’s time to take on the gorge.

We’ll spend the next four hours gorge-walking through the epic Seven Waterfalls — climbing, wading, splashing, and scrambling our way down one of the most scenic (and adventurous) routes in the area. Expect cold water, big laughs, and incredible scenery. We’ll wrap up just before midday.

All safety equipment provided — just bring your sense of adventure and a towel.

 Who’s It For?

This weekend is for anyone aged 16+ who wants to get off the beaten track, learn real skills, and have a wild time doing it. You don’t need any previous experience — just a basic level of fitness, a willingness to get cold and muddy, and a sense of humour.
